Giving the bean to Boston and Britney's underwear on eBay!
...OK SOX fanatics. Today's the beginning of the end of the 2005 post season so let's get it over with quick and send those arrogant Red Sox back to Boston. Now, I'm like anyone else by wishing the White Sox well, but the truth is, I don't feel too positive. Here's the deal: When I had the news on the other night I saw them talking about the big, metal bean in the "Millenium Park" which is called Cloud Gate. The guy that came up with this lovely piece of artwork, a gentleman from France, has been at this for several years...polishing and shining and it's still a work in progress with a price tag the stretches into the next millenium! Most people are aware of the friendly wagers that Mayors of two cities often have when some kind of important sports bragging rights are on the line. Boston's Mayor already has lobster, baked beans, and cream pie ready to go, while Mayor Daley has barbeque ribs, and Eli's Cheesecake. What Daley ought to do is put that ugly bean along with the artist guy from France and load both of them on a barge and ship them off to Boston no matter who wins. France gave New York the Statue of Liberty, and in 2000 Chicago gets this thing! ....How would you like to own a piece of history? Britney Spears is going to do her part to help humanity, or at least the victims of the hurricanes. She couldn't just reach into her purse for her checkbook. Instead, she must make a big song and dance over helping out. Since yesterday, Britney posted some of her most "treasured" items on eBay. Some of the things that are supposed to be on there include several pairs of underwear, some bras, and a couple of bikinis that she wore in a music video. There's also some odds and ends, knick-knacks, a sofa, and a loveseat. All the money is said to be going to the Red Cross. As of this morning, the item fetching the most cash was a pair of her thong underwear for $90,000. She doesn't care if you're male or female, or if you wear it or hang it on the wall in a picture frame however, for that amount of money, here's hoping whoever bids on it gets it washed. THAT'S the way I see it today!
