Got $10 million gathering dust? Have a "Mitzvahpalooza"!
Didjya hear the one about the $10 million Bah Mitzvah? I guarantee your kids will never be as spoiled as this one. As 15 year old Elizabeth Brooks was escorted by her "Billion Dollar Daddy" to an undisclosed location, little did she know that when she walked through the doors of a two story loft, it would be a "who's who" list of legendary performers all set up and ready to go. As you continue reading, be like me and ask yourself if this concert was really for the girl, or was it for her 50 year old Daddy going through some sort of midlife crisis! ...And so The Eagles played what will be their 15th "farewell" performance this year. When Peter Funt didn't make an appearance to tell them to "Smile. You're on Candid Camera", Don Henley finally realized that this was kind of a bad booking. I'd say so too. If you ever went to one of their "farewell" concerts, you'll know that a few million bucks was the average ticket price to sit in one of the first ten rows! Next up, 50 Cent. OK, this probably WAS for his daughter! As the guests at this party sat down to dine on their kosher meal, someone told the others at the table "That's Kenny G.'s alto sax I hear" As they turn to look at the CD player, yep, there he is...in person, the REAL Kenny G! After dinner, the crowd was able to chill out for a while they enjoyed the sounds of the dope smoking Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers who for the last song was joined onstage by Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac and then she stayed up there for a performance of some of her greatest hits. It was now close to three in the morning and, with the party still going strong, Aerosmith took to the stage for the grand finale. Steve Tyler and Joe Perry otherwise known as the "Toxic Twins" played until the sun came up. It should be noted that during their time onstage, the 50 year old Brooks (daughter nowhere to be found) would sneak backstage to put on a duplicate of the two outfits that Tyler brought with him. One was a studded black leather vest and pants, and the other was a furry pink shirt with matching bell bottoms. Wow! What a night that must have been. As I said earlier, what 15 year old girl wouldn't want to see her FAVORITE groups perform together under one roof? After she pulled her head out of the sands of the Atlantic Ocean, I wonder what school was like on Monday at the private school of hers?! Even so, how in the world can anyone top a gift like that?! Now THAT'S what I call music. Glad that Mr. Brooks had a great time!
