AUTHOR: Dave Sypniewski DATE: Tuesday, October 25, 2005 ----- BODY: (idea courtesy of Lisa Sypniewski) Many times at night when I'm bored and there isn't anything good to watch before bedtime, I'll tune into TVLand on cable and watch one of their "original" shows. This month it's a show called "Confidential" where they assemble all the people from the past that haven't had work since the day their television show got the axe, and interview them. This brings me to someone that was wandering down memory lane last week. Anyway, photo at left is of "Lady Elaine Fairchild" from Mister Roger's Neighborhood of "Make Believe". To the right, is Alison Arngrim a.k.a. "Nasty Nellie" from the old "Little House on the Prarie". I ask you: Which came first, the puppet or the person? Considering Arngrim was a little girl in the late 1960's, it would have to be the puppet. Just like Pinnochio, it appears that Fred Rogers' creation has morphed into a real person.
