This JACKASS won't be seen on MTV!
would YOU go for a ride in this ??!
Last year around this time while enjoying the nice weather outside, I heard rattlng, shaking, and sputtering. I looked towards the street and I see this ugly, Chevy Suburban belching black smoke into the air. It pulled into our driveway and all the neighbors dropped everything as it clearly belonged to someone we knew. Yep, a friend of ours, (now former) wanted to show off his vehicle, or new toy as he put it. This thing was literally a big steaming pile of crap. He introduced me to this thing that he named, "Mad Max". Our friend called himself, "The Road Warrior". This jackass told me he got a hold of this 1982 Chevy as a trade...I never did find out what was traded. I can only assume that someone got a major screw job. Originally this thing was gray when I first saw it however, he pulled out a can of spray paint and gave it a makeover in less than five minutes. If you look at the photo above, he even put together some plumbers pipe and attached them to the exhaust to make the thing look "cool". It was just before Christmas when I decided to pull a prank on him due in part, to the popularity of MTV's "Pimp My Ride". I set up an e-mail account solely for this joke with Budweiser. I also looked up a bunch of information and numbers, both telephone and fax, to MTV/ Viacom in New York. I then went to work and came up with a fake contest for "Pimp My Ride" sponsored by Budweiser. I shot him off an e-mail and told him he won a contest and will appear on MTV when we come to Chicago to shoot the show. Now, any normal person would get an e-mail like that and know it was fake. Especially since there was no entry form to fill out. It went very well. The big dope fell hook, line, and sinker. I made sure I made it impossible for the guy to get a hold of me. I gave him a lot of work to do on his truck and told him it has to comply with certain guidelines before we start the work on it. At first, my "taping" was set for January at McCormick Place in Chicago...I gave him the date, the time, and told him to be there. I said I would FedEx him an information packet that he must read before he attended the taping. Well, there never was any information packet, but the dummy went there anyway! He didn't just go once, he went there TWICE. I wish I could have been there when he pulled into the parking garage with his wife and told the security guards that he's there for an MTV show. You would think that's the end of it, but this kept going on until the beginning of March when I finally fessed up and told him that it was a joke. As soon as I said that, he contacted MTV and Budweiser to tell them that I am falsely representing their Corporations as well as infringing on their Trademarks. MTV didn't do anything...Budweiser immediately canceled my account. It was well worth it and I would do it again. Meanwhile, that piece of gorilla poop in the photo is still cruising around town. So, we lost a friend, I say, so what? I wish I could share at least one of the 30 lor so letters that were written however, Budweiser took them away from me and they are currently "investigating" all of them to see how bad a light I put them in. After pulling jokes for over a year, it only makes sense that at least one goes bad. Anyway, keep in mind...you want to pull a prank on someone? Drop me a line. I'll give you the idea, but the rest is up to you. Meanwhile, if you see that broken down Chevy on the road, pull out your cell phone and call 911. That thing needs to be orange stickered and towed to the junk yard. And I hate to tell you old "friend", despite what you think, It just isn't cool.
