Mel's "Passion" for Christ's sake!
SPECIAL REPORT by The Squealing Pig staff If you're at least a little bit religious, you'll know that today is "Palm Sunday." The big "Lethal Weapon" star, Mel Gibson, decided this was the perfect time to re-release The Passion of the Christ redux. About 10 minutes of this 2003 feature film were yanked out because of vulgarity. Poor Mel, he just doesn't get it. Jesus didn't have the opportunity to "re-do" bits and pieces of his life leading up to his death. C'mon Mel, this was your baby. Don't drop the ball. Don't sugarcoat this for the kids...tell it like it really is. The DVD was a record seller so leave it alone! If anything, I feel sorry for the actor who portrayed "Jesus" in this flick. His career is uh, basically done. You won't see him in "Police Academy 10." Let's face it, when you're working with Jesus on the set of any movie, it's kind of hard to swear, laugh, or walk off the set for money. Afterall, it's Jesus you're working with for crying out loud! At least you won't have to apologize for anything unless your Jesus' agent. After this movie, you're typecast. Jesus has every right to be angry!
