AUTHOR: Dave Sypniewski DATE: Monday, April 18, 2005 ----- BODY: Pepsi Blue? It was red hot for a month over a year ago, then with no warning, POOF! It was gone. Posted by Hello I feel really sorry for the folks that work R&D at Pepsico. Someone has to be making up phony responses to their testing procedures. You know, the people that do random marketing research and taste testing at the mall, or wherever there's a lot of people with diverse backrounds. They claim that people are giving these things their stamp of approval. I have to wonder...you see, while straightening up our little soda area the other day, I came across several types of soda, all of which I assume can join Crystal Pepsi in the "extinct soda" section at some museum. The first one was about six cans of Pepsi Blue. Remember it? Probably not. It tasted like blueberries and Pepsi mixed together. That was out for about a month. The next one was from a few months ago. I have nearly half a case of Christmas Pepsi left. This tasted like an evergreen tree mixed with Pepsi. Honest! Also from Pepsi, I have several cans of Mountain Dew's Pitch Black. That was the Halloween one (That I was told if you didn't eat all day and just drank this stuff, before you went to bed you would have blue poop). Finally, rounding out the bunch is RC Edge. I've got about 8 cans of this stuff that dates back to 1999. When '99 was over, so was Edge. It's got ginseng in it to give you that "Edge" get it? Of course, during my many travels I've come across other things like "Bubble Yum" soda. Yuck! I don't know if the two no carb sodas are around yet but, I think they will be joining Coke II, Bubble-Up, and Like Cola on the list. Ah, you see, there was one person who took the bait and now I'm stuck with these and I CAN'T throw them away! I also have a case of Coke with lime. I'm not too crazy about that stuff either but I'm drinking it so as not to get stuck with that stuff too. I try the stuff once, but I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! When we had purple ketchup and green mustard once, I didn't know if I was going to eat the stuff, or the motor on the fridge burned out. Oh well, maybe I'll put these on e-Bay and that's the way I see it! -------- Squealing Pig WORLDWIDE!: Whatever happened to...
